CrossFit athletes Jerome Perryman and Jennifer Kellams will proudly represent Oregon at the 2009 CrossFit World Games being held July 10-12 in Aromas, California. These two athletes earned a trip to the Games by placing in the top four at NW Regional Qualifier on May 16th. There were over 125 athletes competing from the Western Region: Oregon, Idaho, Washington and Alaska.
A huge job well done goes out to all of our regional competitors. A lot of time, sweat, tears, and blood went into the training and preparation for the Qualifiers... and the road to the CrossFit Games has just begun!
Jen and Jerome have been training partners at CrossFit Human Evolution Labs since December of 2008, under the guidance of Level II Coaches Kevin Aillaud and Tommy Rudge. They are the only two athletes from Oregon to qualify and compete in the individual event for the 2009 Games in Aromas, CA.
Jerome has a competitive background in athletics. He played football for the University of Oregon. (Go Ducks!) After graduating, he began his career as a Firefighter, with the City of Portland Fire Department and discovered CrossFit in the spring of 2007 after watching the movie 300!
Jennifer, a softball player since the age of five, began kayaking and climbing soon after finishing college. As a way to maintain her conditioning and keep up with the big boys, she found CrossFit in early 2008 and hasn't looked back! Jen works for The Hasson Company Realtors, a locally owned Real Estate company.
